The faceted housing creates a visual effect of light and shadow that changes as you move with a space. To make this complex form, I developed an innovative process to score, fold, and align the housing, then worked with the manufacturers to help with its implementation. Due to the inherent rigidity of the formed shell, we are able to use 50% less aluminum than a standard extruded housing.
